GPS vest
This vest is designed to transport a Trimble® GPS unit in ultimate comfort and style. Out of sight is a "suspension system" to support the load and reduce back strain: plastic frame sheet with a single Ostrom Chainsaw Pack aluminum stay and 2" waist belt. Additional pockets fit data logger, batteries, flagging tape, lunch and a few extras. Made of 1000D Cordura™ Plus nylon.

Ostrom Packsacks
We offer several Ostrom packs that are ideal for geologists and other professionals. Like the Ostrom Chainsaw Pack, which is designed specifically to carry a chainsaw, repair kit, lunch, and a couple of fuel bottles. A bonus for trail crews with no vehicle access.

We also offer the Ostrom Pack Board. The pack board concept has been around for decades, with explorers “making do” with stripped down external frames or tumps. The Ostrom Pack Board was designed to carry those awkward, bulky items that don’t fit any conventional pack (e.g. Pelican™ case for computer satellite system; boat motor; video equipment). Gear is secured by webbing straps with quick release buckles. To secure the load further, use rope or bungee cords (not supplied).
